Create an SMS Message from a DLT Template

Create an SMS Message from a DLT Template

Create an SMS message directly from an approved Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) template. This process automatically pulls your approved text into the marketing workspace, where you can define variables, personalize content with merge fields, and prepare the message for use in automated flows.

          1. From your marketing workspace, open the DLT template that you want to use.
          2. On the template details page, click Actions menu icon next to Edit, and then select Create Content.
          3. Enter a message title and description. The Message field is automatically populated from the template.
          4. Enter the values for variables used in the message, such as URL, Alphanumeric, or Numeric. Alternatively, you can also use merge fields to replace the variables in the message.
            Note
Note There are no validations to make sure that you’re entering the correct value. Using blocklisted values can cause the carrier to reject your messages.
          5. To shorten links in your message, select Shorten links for tracking clickthrough rates. For more details, see Considerations for Using Link Shortener in India.
          6. Save and publish the message.
          7. To preview the message, click Preview. Select one of the published audience segments and the sample recipient.
          8. After creating your message, build a segment-triggered flow to send this message to a specific audience. In the flow, add the Send SMS Message action, and then select the Sender Code associated with your DLT template.
