Considerations for Using Link Shortener in India

Before using Marketing Cloud shortener, keep these considerations in mind.

• To use a custom domain, get the custom domain and header approved in the Digital Ledger Technology (DLT) portal. Then, purchase the necessary Stock keeping Unit (SKU) from Salesforce. For more information, see Domain Settings in Marketing Cloud Next.
• To use a generic domain, ask your account executive to confirm the domain because the domain can vary across different environments. You can also verify the domain in the message preview. After you confirm, get the domain and header approved in the DLT portal. For example, https://x.sfmsg.co/header/aoRFINCUF, where x can vary for each environment.
• The links that you want to shorten must be approved by the DLT portal and comply with TRAI regulations.
• The domain and header in the SMS text are case-sensitive and must match the DLT-approved domain and header.
• Before you launch a campaign, review the header and domain in the message preview.
