Using the Personalization Campaign Guided Configuration

Personalization campaign configuration uses a guided workflow to create and test personalized content before deploying it.

Using the guided configuration provides several advantages:

          • Efficiency: Using a wizard-like workflow, the guided campaign configuration provides a more user-friendly alternative to the original, multi-step configuration process. Upon completion, the workflow results in a fully-configured, testable, and deployable personalized content experience.
          • Clarity: Campaign creation uses industry-standard terminology that aligns with marketer mental models. It also uses a simplified, uninterrupted procedure to streamline personalization content creation, assignment, and deployment, reducing the chance for errors.
          • Consistency: Configuration uses content schemas (formerly response templates) and predefined out of the box or Admin-defined templates to ensure all decision responses return data in an expected, uniform format.
          • Automated Defaults: The creation process pre-populates API names and provides selection options based on the selected data space and defined profile data graph options.

Using the personalization campaign guided configuration process not only enables you to select the necessary underlying personalization components for a personalized experience, but also to map, deploy, and test the campaign using the Web Personalization Manager (WPM).
