Create a Mobile Personalization Experience

Create a personalization experience to deliver personalized content to customers in your mobile app. An experience connects a personalization point, an experience template, and a content zone, and specifies where the content appears.

To create personalization experiences: Personalization user

For example, a personalization experience can show product recommendations in a content zone on a product screen as soon as the screen loads.

  • The connector setup is complete, with components and content zones registered.
  • At least one active mobile experience template exists. See Create a Mobile Experience Template.
  1. Open the personalization point that provides content for this experience.
  2. In the experiences section, select New.
  3. On the Personalization Experience step, enter the core details.
    Field Action
    Personalization Point Review the value. This comes from the personalization point where you started.
    Channel Select the mobile channel.
    Connector Select the mobile connector.
    Personalization Experience Name Enter a name for this experience.
    Personalization Experience API Name Accept the default or enter a custom API name.
    Description (Optional) Enter a description to distinguish this experience from others on the same channel.
  4. Select Next.
  5. On the Experience Template step, select a template.
    1. For Experience Template, select a template. The list shows templates that match this personalization point's content schema.
    2. Select Next.
  6. On the Personalization Experience Location step, choose where the experience appears.
    Field Action
    Display Method Select Mobile Content Zone.
    Content Zone Select a content zone. Only content zones that support the component used by your selected template are listed.
  7. Select Next.

The experience advances to the Preview and Publish step.
