            Prerequisites for Adding the Cartridge

            Complete a set of prerequisites on the org that's provided and on your B2C Commerce site before you add the cartridge to your site.

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Referral Marketing
            Important
            Important Connected apps creation is restricted as of Spring ‘26. You can continue to use existing connected apps during and after Spring ‘26. However, we recommend using external client apps instead. If you must continue creating connected apps, contact Salesforce Support.

            1. Reset your security token in the provided org.
              Important
              Important If you aren't able to find Reset Security Token in your personal settings, see Unable to see the Reset Security Token option.
            2. Create a connected app named B2C Referral Connector, enable OAuth Settings with Full access as the OAuth scope.
              Important
              Important After you enable OAuth Setting, select Enable for Device Flow to generate the Callback URL.
            3. Allow your org to use the legacy OAuth 2.0 user name-password flow. For more information, see OAuth 2.0 Username-Password Flow for Special Scenarios.

            Note the new security token and the consumer key, the consumer secret, and the callback URL of the connected app. You need these details to update the web service credential that's added in your B2C Commerce site by the cartridge.
