Configure Domains for Dynamic Reply and CC Addresses in Marketing Cloud Next

To use a dynamic reply-to or CC address in your marketing emails, add and verify an authorized email domain. After you create and verify a domain, you can use any email address on that domain as a dynamic reply-to or CC address.

In Marketing Cloud Next, authorized email domains aren’t the same as authenticated domains. Authenticated domains are domains that you use to send emails from Marketing Cloud Next to your customers. Authorized domains are domains that you allow Marketing Cloud Next to use with CC or dynamic reply-to addresses in your emails.

The domain you use for CC and dynamic reply-to addresses doesn’t need to match the subdomain that you use to send emails. For example, the authenticated domain that you use to send emails can be mail.example.com, and your authorized email domain can be example.com.

If you use Reply Mail Management (RMM), you don’t need to configure an authorized email domain. RMM generates a system-managed reply address.

Verify Ownership of an Email Domain for Marketing Cloud Next

To set up and verify an authorized email domain, see Set Up an Authorized Email Domain.

When you verify an email domain, Marketing Cloud Next can use any address on that domain as a dynamic reply-to or CC address. Also, if you use other Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud or Service Cloud, users on an authorized email domain can send email from that address through Salesforce without additional verification.
