Register in the SSIR Portal

Before you start RCS registration in Singapore, register your SMS sender ID in the official SGNIC SMS Sender ID Registry (SSIR) portal.

  • Register your SMS sender ID in the SGNIC portal before you request an RCS agent, whether you use the sender name for SMS traffic.

  • New clients must register their company directly in the SGNIC portal. Salesforce doesn't assist with this step.

  • The RCS agent name must match the SMS sender name registered in the SSIR portal. Don't use the Infobip sender name. The agent name can't exceed 11 characters, and spaces are allowed.

  • After you register, SGNIC contacts you directly. When SGNIC approves the sender ID, submit the approved name for RCS registration.

  • Get sender approval from Singtel first. You can complete approval for the secondary mobile network operators such as M1, StarHub, and Simba only after Singtel approves your request.

  • Refer to Infobip Letter of Authorization (LoA) and Registration Guide, SGNIC SSIR Portal User Guide, and SGNIC SMS Sender ID Registry FAQ for more information.

Hosting and Usage Rules

  • Organizations in the financial sector that are bound by local regulations restricting data transfer outside Singapore must host their sender and agent in the Asia hosting region.

  • Organizations in all other sectors aren't required to host in the Asia hosting region.

  • International, or as-is, onboarding is limited to generic senders, which support is one-time password (OTP) use cases only.

  • Wholesale and reseller onboarding isn't supported in this region.

Required Documentation and Approvals

To submit an RCS agent for review in Singapore, provide these details.

  • The official company registration document from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

  • A signed letter of authorization that authorizes message submission.

  • A screenshot that confirms the SMS sender ID is live in the SGNIC portal. This screenshot is required for new senders.

  • A publicly accessible agent functionality video that shows the complete, end-to-end user journey.

  • For an agent registered for multi-use, provide two videos: one for transactional traffic and one for promotional traffic.

  • Formal approval from both Google and Singtel.
