SMS Code Provisioning Guidelines

Use a Colombia short code for two-way sends that support marketing and transactional sends. Network carriers require monthly sending rates of at least 100,000 sends per month to keep a short code active. We recommend planning your sending rate as soon as possible before procuring a short code. Conduct marketing sends from Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 3 PM (UTC−05:00). Do not send marketing SMS messages on Sundays or public holidays.

Restricted Content

You’re responsible for complying with local rules and regulations. To ensure compliance, familiarize yourself with the legislation of the local market. Failure to comply can result in service suspension, cancellation, and potential fines. Colombia generally forbids content related, but not limited to, adult and gambling products and services.
