Request a Dynamic Alpha Sender ID for One-Way Sending
To send one-way branded SMS messages in France, request a Dynamic Alpha sender ID.
Before you set up SMS sending in France, review these requirements.
- Classify your messages as transactional or promotional. Transactional messages include time-sensitive information such as one-time passwords, appointment reminders, banking alerts, and shipping updates. Promotional messages include marketing, sales, and brand engagement.
- Use a sender ID that matches your brand or trademark.
- Include an unsubscribe method in promotional messages.
- Use branded domains for links instead of public URL shorteners.
- Add the applicable standard SMS rate notice to your message content.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter SMS, and then select SMS Codes.
- Click Request Code.
- Select France as the country.
- Select Dynamic Alpha for the code type.
- Select the number of codes you want to register, and click Next.

Enter a name of 3–11 alphanumeric characters that identifies your legal entity or
trademark.
Don’t use special characters, spaces at the beginning or end, or generic names, such as SMS or INFO.
- Select whether the messages are transactional or promotional.
- If your messages contain links, enter the full destination URL.
- Describe the purpose of the messaging program.

Enter the exact text of your SMS.
For a promotional message, include a STOP instruction that points to a mobile-optimized unsubscribe URL or a dedicated opt-out phone number.
- Enter the estimated number of SMS messages that you plan to send each month.
- Submit your request.
You can view the status of the request in the SMS Codes tab.
- New: Your request is awaiting initial review..
- Pending or Under-Verification: Messaging partners are verifying the sender ID with French mobile operators.
- Waiting For Customer: Information is missing or the FromName was rejected. Check your email for details.
- Completed: The Dynamic Alpha sender ID is verified and ready for use.
