          SMS Code Provisioning Guidelines

Use a Mexico short code for alphanumeric codes one-way sends. You can register up to 7 alphanumeric codes. Network carriers must approve and allowlist all alphanumeric codes before deployment. These codes must have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 11 alphanumeric characters.

You can also use short codes for two-way sends marketing and transactional sends, but not all network carriers support these sends.

Network carriers require monthly sending rates of at least 100,000 sends per month to keep a short code active. We recommend planning your sending rate as soon as possible before procuring a short code. Conduct marketing sends from Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 8 PM (UTC−03:00 or -04:00, depending on the season).

          Restricted Content

You’re responsible for complying with local rules and regulations. To ensure compliance, familiarize yourself with the legislation of the local market. Don't send messages during local business hours (UTC-06:00).
