Request a Location-Specific Sending Code
Salesforce supports SMS messaging in many countries. After you review the rules and limits for each country that you're sending from and sending to, you can request a sender code.

| Also required: The location-specific SMS add-on for each country that you want to send to. To verify which add-ons are available to your org, contact an account executive. |
| Not supported in: Government Cloud Plus |
- Before you start, confirm that you have a registered brand and campaign.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter SMS, and then select SMS Codes.
- Click Request Code.
- Select the country, code type, and quantity that you want.
- Click Next, and continue to follow the prompts.
If you encounter an error during the request, you can enter a different code type or try the request again after 24 hours.
You can save up to 10 drafts of your requests for brands, campaigns, and codes. Track your progress on the Open Requests tab of the SMS Codes page, where these statuses appear.
- Inactive: A code is available but you must provide more information before it can be activated. These codes can't be used to send SMS messages.
- Active: The code is available and ready to use for sending SMS messages.
- Blocked: The code is blocked due to an expired contract or compliance violations. These codes can't be used to send SMS messages.
- Disabled: The code is no longer available. You can’t renew this code or use it to send SMS messages.
