SMS Code Provisioning Guidelines

Use a Serbia alphanumeric code for one-way sends that handle both marketing and transactional sends. Alphanumeric codes can't be generic and must be associated with the brand, enterprise, product, or service. These codes can only use alphanumeric characters and spaces. Manage opt-outs via web forms or preference centers.

Restricted Content

You’re responsible for complying with local rules and regulations. To ensure compliance, familiarize yourself with the legislation of the local market. Failure to comply can result in service suspension, cancellation, and potential fines.

Marketing sends requires an opt-out mechanism via the short code 5005. Include a footer in all message that resemble the example "STOP na 5005". Any mobile numbers that request STOP to 5005 are excluded from future sends by local carriers.

Best Practices and Compliance References

Consider using different alphanumeric codes for marketing and transactional messaging. Telecommunications in Serbia are regulated by Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services.
