Request a Short Code for Two-Way Sending

Request a Short Code for Two-Way Sending

To send high-volume, two-way SMS messages in France, request a short code.

Before you set up SMS sending in France, review these requirements.

  • Classify your messages as transactional or promotional. Transactional messages include time-sensitive information, such as one-time passwords, appointment reminders, banking alerts, and shipping updates. Promotional messages include marketing, sales, and brand engagement.
  • Use a sender ID that matches your brand or trademark.
  • Include an unsubscribe method in promotional messages.
  • Use branded domains for links instead of public URL shorteners.
  • Add the applicable standard SMS rate notice to your message content.
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter SMS, and then select SMS Codes.
  2. Click Request Code.
  3. Select France as the country.
  4. Select Short Code for the code type.
  5. Select the number of short codes you want to register, and click Next.
  6. Select whether the messages are transactional or promotional.
  7. Enter the brand names that relate to the short code.
  8. Enter an identifier for the project.
  9. Describe the program’s purpose.
  10. Enter the exact custom responses that your platform sends.
    • Use the STOP response to confirm that the recipient has unsubscribed.
    • In the CONTACT or HELP response, provide support information, such as a website or phone number.
  11. Select Lebara & SYMA support if your target audience includes users on these networks.
  12. Submit your request.

You can view the status of the request in the SMS Codes tab.
