Manage SMS Consent in Unified Messaging

Manage SMS Consent in Unified Messaging

We manage consent to the SMS channel in Unified Messaging via communication subscriptions. Each SMS code is mapped to one or more communication subscriptions. When a recipient opts in to an SMS channel, they opt in to the communication subscriptions mapped to the SMS channel and code. If a recipient opts out of an SMS channel, they opt out of all communication subscriptions mapped to that SMS channel and code. Manage SMS consent and keywords for each connected number.

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Unified Messaging for WhatsApp is available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions for Marketing Cloud Engagement Growth and Advanced Editions
Not supported in Government Cloud Plus
          1. In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter SMS Codes, and then select SMS Codes.
          2. Click Request Code.
          3. In the Consent tab, set your consent opt-in status to Explicit or Double Opt-in.
If you selected Double Opt-in, optionally modify the Double Opt-in Prompt. Subscribers receive this message to confirm their opt-in before they can receive messages from the selected number.
          4. For Consent Keyword Settings, enter the keywords and messages that enable opt-in, opt-out, and help conversations with your subscribers.
All languages default to the keywords that you enter here.
          5. To include language-specific keywords and messages, click Add Language-Specific Consent Keywords and enter the text for the additional languages.
          6. Click Save.
