Manage Archive Widget Controls and Layout
Enables Archive managed package administrators to centrally manage the display and configuration of objects within widgets, enhancing user visibility and interaction. This functionality allows for defining both root and child objects that end users can query. Additionally, the layout provides insights into parent-child object relationships via the "Is Root" identifier.

Centralized Management: Administrators can configure all objects visible in the widget from a single location.

Predefined Layouts: Choose from two predefined layout options.

To display multiple child objects within the widget, use
customListRelatedRecordsArchivedWidget. -
If displaying a single child object is preferred, opt for
customSingleRelatedRecordsArchivedWidget.

Related Tabs: Once expanded, and if defined, the widget displays a related tab showing the "Is Root" indicator, identifying whether an object is a parent or a child object.

Preview Table (Deprecated): Starting with Archive Package 21, the Preview Table feature from the Archive Policy form no longer controls the root layout setting. This feature is deprecated.

Non-Customizable Widgets: Please note that the
RelatedRecordArchivedWidgetisn't customizable.
To customize your Archive Widget layout:
- From the Archive Package, go to Settings.
- Select Widget Search Layout.
- Search or enter the required sObject and add up to 15 available fields to the Selected Fields column.
- An asterisk(*) identifies fields that have not been indexed. Fields that have been indexed are retrieved much faster than non-indexed fields. We recommend removing non-indexed fields. If you still want to view non-indexed fields via the Archive Widget, please contact Support.
- The "Show Is Root" column lets you show the end user whether the record is part of the root or a child record. By default, the setting is toggled off.
When double-clicking a record in search, the expanded view is opened.

Shows all related records, both archived in the same operation and those that aren't. The maximum display is 200 child records. |
Related Legal Hold Requests |
Shows specific records linked to legal hold directives. |
Click the Related tab.
When enabled, the first column, Is Root?, indicates that the record is a root record. Is Root? helps you identify what further actions are applicable (for example unarchive).
