About Agentforce Operations

Agentforce Operations is a workflow automation platform where you design, run, and track structured business processes. Teams complete tasks by using email, a web form, or the workspace. AI agents can handle specialized tasks automatically.

License Required

This feature is a workspace that’s external to your Salesforce org and requires an Agentforce Operations license.

To purchase an Agentforce Operations license, contact your Salesforce account executive.

Note
Note Agentforce Operations is the new name for the product previously known as Agentforce Supply Chain. As we work on updates, you can possibly see references to both Agentforce Operations and Agentforce Supply Chain.

What Agentforce Operations Does

With Agentforce Operations, you can model a business process as a blueprint, a reusable template made up of stages, tasks, and fields. When you run a blueprint, it creates a workflow: a live, tracked instance of that process with its own data, assignees, and timeline.

You assign each task in a workflow to a person, a team, a role, or an AI agent. Assignees receive notifications when their task becomes active and can complete it directly from the notification email, a web form, or the workspace. Fields collect information from assignees and pass it forward to subsequent tasks automatically.

Because Agentforce Operations is an external workspace separate from your Salesforce org, access to it is invite-only. Only users with a role that includes workspace invite access can add new users.

For example, you can use Agentforce Operations to standardize employee onboarding. The blueprint defines the stages, such as offer, provisioning, and first-day setup, and the tasks within each stage, such as collecting signed documents or assigning equipment. Each new hire starts a separate workflow from that same blueprint, so every onboarding follows the same steps while tracking its own people, dates, and documents.

Who Uses Agentforce Operations

Workspace admins
Configure the workspace, manage users and roles, connect data sources and integrations, and control access to blueprints and workflows.
Blueprint builders
Design and publish blueprints that define the process structure: stages, tasks, fields, assignees, start conditions, and AI agent configuration.
Workflow runners
Start workflows from published blueprints, monitor progress, and manage running workflows by reassigning tasks, tracking status, and resolving problems.
Task assignees
Complete assigned tasks by filling in fields, uploading documents, approving or rejecting work, and passing results to the next step. Assignees can complete tasks by email or web form without logging in to the workspace.

Key Capabilities

  • Blueprints and workflows: Design a process one time as a blueprint, then run it as many times as needed. Each run is an independent workflow with its own data and timeline.
  • Stages and tasks: Structure work into phases with stages. Tasks within each stage activate based on configurable start conditions.
  • Fields and forms: Collect structured data from assignees by using fields. Field types include: text, number, date, document, signature, and others. Field values flow forward to subsequent tasks automatically.
  • AI agents: Assign tasks to AI agents for repeatable, rules-driven work such as document review, data lookup, calculations, and compliance checks. AI agents create and follow a plan with each workflow run, and return consistent outputs.
  • Email and web form completion: Users can complete tasks without logging in, reducing the number of external collaborators to onboard, such as vendors or partners.
  • Variants and linked workflows: Create blueprint variants to handle different scenarios, or link blueprints together to chain processes across teams.
  • Tracking and visibility: Monitor all running workflows from the Home page. Filter by status, assignee, due date, tags, and other fields.
