Data Sources
A data source is a table of structured reference data that admins import into Agentforce
Operations. For example, import a supplier list, customer catalog, or parts database. After you
add a data source, blueprint builders can add it as a field. When a workflow runs, users see the
data source as a searchable table and can select rows to validate information or share data with
subsequent tasks.
Integrations connect Agentforce Operations to external systems and run automatically during
workflow execution, no user interaction required. Use integrations to send workflow data to an
external system, get data from an API, or save files to cloud storage.
Use a data source when you want users to look up and select rows from a reference table
as part of completing a task. For example, selecting a supplier from a list or validating a part
number.
Use an integration when you want Agentforce Operations to exchange data with an
external system automatically, without user interaction. For example, posting a workflow result
to an external API when a stage completes or saving an uploaded document to SharePoint.
