Stages are the logical containers or phases of a process. For example, Vendor Selection or Document Review. Each stage organizes related tasks into a manageable milestone. A blueprint requires at least one stage and one task in order to run workflows from it.

By default, Agentforce Operations uses a linear execution model. Stage 1 must complete before Stage 2 can begin. Within a stage, tasks often run simultaneously, but the next stage doesn't start until all required tasks in the current stage finish.

  1. Create a blueprint or edit an existing blueprint.
  2. In the blueprint, click + Add stage.
  3. Enter a name for the stage.
  4. Select a start condition for the stage.

For a description of each start condition, see Stage Start Conditions in Agentforce Operations.

  5. If you select a condition-based start option, add the specific conditions that determine when the stage starts.
  6. Click Add stage.
Agentforce Operations adds the stage to the blueprint.
