Edit a Running Workflow in Agentforce Operations
Reassign tasks, add tasks, and update task details in a workflow that's running in Agentforce Operations.

You can change a workflow while it's running. You can add new tasks and update task details such as the due date, assignees, and description. Changes take effect immediately and are recorded in the task's activity history.
Add a Task to a Running Workflow
Insert an ad hoc task into a workflow that is running in Agentforce Operations.
You can add a task to any stage in a running workflow. The new task is added as a standalone task and doesn’t affect the blueprint.
- In the navigation sidebar, click Home.
- Click the name of the workflow that you want to edit.
- Click Open workflow.
- In the stage where you want to add the task, click + Task.
- Configure the task.

Click Add.
The task is added to the workflow immediately. Assignees are notified.
Update a Task in a Running Workflow
Edit task details such as due date, description, and CC recipients while a workflow is running in Agentforce Operations. You can only edit tasks that haven't run yet.
- In the navigation sidebar, click Home.
- Click the name of the workflow that you want to edit.
- Click Open workflow.
- Click the task that you want to edit.
- Make your changes.

Click Save.
Changes are saved immediately and recorded in the task's activity history. If you reassigned the task, Agentforce Operations notifies the previous assignee that the task has been reassigned. The new assignee receives a task assignment notification.
