          Field Types in Agentforce Operations

Review the field types available for collecting information in tasks in Agentforce Operations.

          Required Editions

          License Required

This feature is a workspace that’s external to your Salesforce org and requires an Agentforce Operations license.

To purchase an Agentforce Operations license, contact your Salesforce account executive.

          Checkbox
A box that users can select or deselect. Useful for Boolean questions, such as yes and no or true and false responses. Checkboxes can't be required because an unchecked box is a valid answer. For example, leaving Send invoice? unchecked (deselected) means the user doesn't want an invoice.
          Currency
Stores and shows monetary values with currency-specific formatting, including currency symbols, such as $, decimal places from 0 to 8, and comma separators. You can configure minimum and maximum value constraints.
          Date
Stores calendar dates in the format used in the language selected in the user’s profile. You can restrict accepted values to all dates, only future dates, or only dates in the past. Time is not supported.
          Data Source
Accepts values from an external data source, such as a product catalog or supplier list. An admin sets up data sources on the Admin page before they're available to use in fields.
          Document
A file attachment field. Supports these formats: .ai, .csv, .doc, .docx, .dwg, .dxf, .gif, .html, .jpeg, .key, .msg, .numbers, .pages, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .psd, .rex, .svg, .tiff, .txt, .webp, .xls, .xml, .zip. Users can also provide a URL to a document. To let users enter or paste a URL, don’t select Disallow external link. You can optionally restrict the types of files that people can upload into the field. If you leave File extensions blank, it accepts any of the supported file types. Optionally, require a file upload instead of a link to a document. Use this option to save the document to your Agentforce Operations workspace. To restrict users from providing links, select Disallow external link.
          Email
Accepts an email address in standard format. For example, myname@mydomain.com. Validates the email address entered to ensure accurate routing of messages.
          Multi-select
Allows users to select multiple options from a predefined list. Unlike the Select field, users can select several or all available options. Useful for representing data with multiple attributes or categories. To add an option, click +Add option and enter a label. To add multiple options, enter a list of values, with each value separated by a new line.
          Number
Stores numerical values with support from 0 to 8 decimal places and comma separators. You can configure minimum and maximum value constraints. Use for quantities, measurements, and any data requiring numerical representation.
          People
Stores references to one or multiple users, teams, or roles. Useful for tracking assignees, contacts, or stakeholders associated with a task. People fields aren’t supported in the Access tab for workflows and blueprints.
          Phone
Stores telephone numbers with formatting constraints for each country, such as required digit lengths, area codes, or country codes. You don’t configure the formatting constraints or country in the field configuration window. Users see the country options at run time. After they select a country, Agentforce Operations validates the phone number they enter.
          Select
Presents a predefined list of options as a dropdown list from which users select a single value. Ideal when only one selection from a limited set is valid, such as a status, category, or region. To add an option, click +Add option and enter a label. To add multiple options, enter a list of values, with each value separated by a new line.
          Signature

Shows a text box for a user to provide a digital signature they create by drawing with their mouse. A checkbox appears with the text box that says, By checking this box, I agree that this electronic signature will be as valid as handwritten signatures to the extent allowed by local law.Signatures provide a verifiable, legally binding indication of the signer's intent. The only configuration necessary for this field is the field name, type and optional helper text. The field automatically shows the text box and checkbox at run-time. The signature is stored as a file so it can be referenced in a blueprint or workflow.

          Text
Accepts any text input. Supports cursor placement, text selection, and copy-paste functionality. Optionally, you can set a minimum or maximum character limit, or turn on markdown formatting, such as <h1>Heading level 1</h1>.
