Retention
Edit your retention policy. See Backup Retention Policies in Backup & Recover for Salesforce.
Configure Files and Special Objects
The name of this tab and the options available depend on your service type. In a Sandbox, the tab is called Files and Special Objects. In Data, it's called Special Objects.
The Files section only appears in Sandbox Services. In this section you can:
- Select to Include files in the backups of this sandbox (Default: On)
In the Special Objects section you can:
- Select Backup Knowledge Articles.
- To turn on Custom Big Objects, contact support.
- Archive a Service in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
Preserve backup data after you migrate, decommission, or duplicate a Salesforce production or sandbox backup service instance. Archiving the service stops it from backing up new data. Access archived data for future restoration or data seeding. - Delete a Salesforce Sandbox Service in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
Free up resources and storage space after a sandbox service is outdated or refreshed. Deleting a sandbox service permanently removes all backup data associated with it. - Pause a Salesforce Service in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
Limit access to your data during proof of concept or testing periods. By pausing instead of archiving, you can specify when to resume backups and avoid losing backup coverage. - Reauthenticate Salesforce Services in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
If you get a message about an inactive authenticated user or a revoked token, you can restore access and functionality by reauthenticating the Salesforce user. - Backup Retention Policies in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
Retention policies help you meet requirements for keeping Salesforce data backed up. You can adjust retention periods and retain backups indefinitely when needed for legal procedures. - Backing Up Special Objects in Backup & Recover for Salesforce
