Manually Add Values to a Custom Library

Use this procedure when you want to individually add a relatively small number of typical or standard values to a custom library. For example, for QA of sandbox masking you only need a library containing 15 female first names.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with the Salesforce Data Mask add-on license.
User Permissions Needed
To manually add values to custom libraries:
  • Data Mask And Seed User Permission Set License
  • Data Mask And Seed User Permission Set
  1. In the Manage Library area of the displayed custom library page, place your cursor in the Add Values Manually field.
  2. Enter an info entry in the field and click Add. The info entry displays below the Add Values Manually field.
  3. Repeat steps 1 - 2 to populate the custom library with multiple values. Add as many additional values as you need for your masking use case.
  4. Click the Save Library Settings button to save the custom library content. The custom library page re-displays in view-only mode.
  5. When the custom library page is in view-only mode, click the Edit Library Settings button to return the page to Edit mode.
