Schedule Policy Field Details

The following is important detail about the Schedule Policy fields:

  • Policy Name field (view-only).
  • Policy Description field (view-only). The field is empty when description hasn’t been provided.
  • Run Frequency: Choose how often Data Mask & Seed runs the masking job.
    • Run One Time - for one-time sandbox refreshes or testing
    • Repeat Daily - for daily sandbox refreshes, such as, 02:00 AM every night
    • Repeat Weekly - for weekly sandbox maintenance, such as, every Monday at midnight
    • Repeat Monthly - for monthly sandbox updates, such as, first Monday of each month
    • Not Scheduled - If a masking job schedule is currently defined for the policy and you want to delete that schedule, meaning you want to unschedule the policy, choose the Not Scheduled option. Not Scheduled is the default selection for the Run Frequency dropdown.
  • Date: The schedule’s start date. The default selection is today’s date.
    • For weekly schedules (Run Frequency = Repeat Weekly), the job runs each week on the same day of the week. For example, If you select the 9th which is a Tuesday, the job runs every week on Tuesday.
    • For monthly schedules (Run Frequency = Repeat Monthly), the job runs each month on the same day of the month. For example, If you select the 28th, the job runs every month on the 28th.
  • Time: The schedule’s start time. The default selection is the nearest quarter hour, such as, 2:00 PM, 2:15 PM, 2:30 PM or 2:45 PM. When you select a repeating run frequency, Data Mask & Seed always re-runs the masking job at the same start time.
