          Create a Quality Gate Rule

          Define a quality gate rule that sets the pass threshold, severity limits, or essential test requirements for a test suite.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional (API access required), Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          Not Available in: Government Cloud Plus. Contact your Salesforce account executive for more details.
          Not available in: EU Operating Zone. EU Operating zone is a special paid offering that provides an enhanced level of data residency commitment. DevOps Center is supported in orgs in the EU that aren't part of EU OZ, per standard product terms and conditions.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create a quality gate rule: DevOps Testing Manager

          Create a quality gate rule to define the exact criteria a work item must meet at a pipeline stage. You can create a rule directly from the pipeline stage card while assigning a gate.

          1. From the Pipeline view, select the Tests tab.
          2. On the stage card, click Add Gate for the event.
          3. In the Add Quality Gates window, click Create Now.
          4. Enter a name and description that clearly defines the rule's purpose.
          5. Click Next.
          6. Configure your criteria.
            1. Select a severity level threshold from 1 — Critical to 5 — Info.
            2. Enter a minimum test pass percentage.
            3. Toggle Check for Essential Test Failures to enforce must-pass tests.
          7. Click Save.

          The rule is immediately active and will be enforced on the next test run for the assigned stage.
