Error: Unable to Reauthenticate Bitbucket After Credential Changes
Your Bitbucket connection with DevOps Center works, but when your team revokes tokens or modifies access configurations, the authentication fails. DevOps Center prompts you to reauthenticate and the Home page shows that you're logged out.
To reconnect, you must reauthenticate. However, DevOps Center doesn't have a UI option to update or reauthenticate an existing Bitbucket connection.
Cause
DevOps Center stores Bitbucket authentication credentials in Named Credentials and External Credentials. When these credentials become invalid, there's no direct way to reauthenticate through the DevOps Center UI.
Action
Delete the existing credentials and reauthenticate to establish a new connection.
- From Setup, enter Named Credentials in the Quick Find box, then select Named Credentials.
-
Find the
ALMDevopsBitbucketnamed credential. - From the dropdown menu next to the credential, select Delete, and confirm the action.
- Switch to the External Credentials tab.
-
Find the
ALMDevopsBitbucketexternal credential. - From the dropdown menu next to the credential, select Delete, and confirm the action.
-
Return to DevOps Center and reauthenticate your Bitbucket connection.
You can set up the Bitbucket connection with your updated credentials. See Set Up Bitbucket as Your Source Control.
Your Bitbucket connection is reestablished with the new credentials.
