Shadow Mode for Rules

Set a rule to shadow mode to see how it would affect coding agents before you enforce it.

Shadow mode applies to individual rules, not to entire policies. When a rule is in shadow mode, its enforcement still evaluates coding agent activity, but violations are logged and reported instead of blocked.

Use shadow mode to test a new or changed rule against real activity in your org before you enable it. Reviewing what a rule would have blocked helps you confirm it targets the behavior you intend, without disrupting coding agents while you evaluate it.
