Create and Implement a Quick Action Page (Beta)

A quick action page is a Lightning page that defines the UI for a page-based quick action. You can configure the fields, sections, visibility rules, and layout that users see when they trigger the action. You can build a quick action page one time in Lightning App Builder and associate it with multiple quick actions. When you update the quick action page, your changes apply to all actions that use it.

Lightning App Builder available in: both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
Quick action pages available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

Page-based quick actions and quick action pages is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

  1. From Setup, enter App Builder in the Quick Find box, then select Lightning App Builder.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select Quick Action Page and then click Next.
  4. Give your quick action page a label, select its target object, and then click Next.
    The label can be up to 80 characters.
  5. Select the page template and click Done.
  6. Customize the fields on the page.
    You can reorder fields by dragging them up and down, add fields from the palette, or remove fields by hovering over them on the canvas and clicking Delete icon.
  7. Save your quick action page.
  8. Create a page-based quick action for the same object, and associate it with the quick action page you created.
    Quick action pages are available for object-specific quick actions on desktop only.
  9. Add the page-based quick action to the Dynamic Highlights Panel or Dynamic Related List - Single components on a record page.
