Update Sharing Settings for Authenticated External Users Who Schedule Appointments

Use organization-wide default sharing settings to set the baseline external access for Salesforce Scheduler records.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience.
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Sharing Settings, and then select Sharing Settings.
  2. Under Organization-Wide Defaults, set the sharing settings as described in this table.
  3. Under General User Permissions, select these permissions.
    Object Default External Access
    Operating Hours Public Read Only
    Calendar Show Details and Add Events
    Service Appointment Public Read/Write
    Service Resource Public Read Only
    Service Territory Public Read Only
    Work Type Public Read Only
    Work Type Group Public Read Only
    User Public Read Only
    Note
    Note

    Required only if the Event Management setting is enabled.

    Ideally, it’s recommended to set the access level for user records via a sharing rule.
  4. Save your changes.
