Migrating FedRAMP to the Own Data Platform

Migrating FedRAMP to the Own Data Platform

Own has launched a Data Platform to empower users to own their data. Accounts using single sign-on to access the current Own application must reconfigure their identity providers to access the Own Data Platform. Migrated users immediately benefit from the improved security experience provided by the platform.

Security Settings

Security settings are no longer available in the Own application. Users must migrate to the Own Data Platform to manage account security.

Migration Deadline

Accounts that have existed prior to January 2025, with single sign-on enabled in the Own application, and have yet to migrate to the Own Data Platform must configure an identity provider by March 31st to access the Own Data Platform.

Upgrade Process

When a Master Admin signs in to the Own application they are presented with the Upgrade to the Own Data Platform window.

A Master Admin should copy the Audience URI (SP Entity ID), Single-Sign-On URL, and the Relay State parameters from the window, enter the copied parameters in the relevant fields, in the Identity Provider platform used by the account, and save the configuration changes.

After the upgrade process, authorized users can access the Own Data Platform.
