Agentforce Platform Enabled by Default

In Winter ’27, the Agentforce platform is enabled by default for all orgs with Agentforce access, as granted by SKUs, licensing, and editions. New orgs are enabled at creation, and existing orgs will be auto-enabled. The Agentforce setting will be removed from the Agentforce Agents page in Setup, so you can build, test, and deploy agents with one less step. The platform is enabled at no additional cost and there are no changes to billing.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 Editions. Setup for AI agents is available on the desktop site.

When: The Agentforce platform is automatically enabled in new orgs created in Winter ʼ27. We'll begin enabling the Agentforce platform for existing orgs on a rolling basis starting the first week of September. Removing the Agentforce setting is planned for later in Winter ʼ27. Check back for more details.

How: If Einstein generative AI is enabled in your org, admins will have immediate access to Agentforce Builder. To give other users access, assign the Manage AI Agents permission.

We continue to offer these controls to manage access to Agentforce.

• Agentforce requires Einstein generative AI to be enabled in your org. To turn off the Agentforce platform, in Setup, turn off the Einstein setting on the Einstein Setup page.
• When the Agentforce platform is enabled, all admins have access to Agentforce Studio, Agentforce Builder, and analytics and observability features. For all other users, access is managed with user permissions.
• Individual Agentforce agents are only available to end users when the agent is active. You can activate or deactivate an agent in Agentforce Builder. Access to some agents, such as Agentforce Employee agents, is also managed with user permissions.
