- Einstein Activity Capture support for partner users is intended for external calendar integration with Salesforce Scheduler. It doesn’t provide partner users with the standard Einstein Activity Capture email and calendar capture features.
- Partner users connect their external calendar accounts from the partner portal, not from the Einstein Activity Capture connection experience in Salesforce.
- To connect an external calendar account, a partner user needs the PartnerEAC add-on license and the PartnerEACUser permission set.
- Add partner users only to an Einstein Activity Capture configuration created for partner users. You can’t assign internal Einstein Activity Capture users to a partner configuration, and you can’t assign partner users to a standard configuration.
- You can’t convert a partner configuration to an internal Einstein Activity Capture configuration, or vice versa. To change configuration types, create a configuration of the required type.
- In partner configurations, email capture and calendar event capture are always turned off. You can’t change these settings.
- Connecting a partner user’s account authorizes Salesforce to access the external calendar provider and securely maintain the user’s OAuth credentials. It doesn’t cause Einstein Activity Capture to crawl or capture the user’s email or calendar data.
- Einstein Activity Capture maintains the OAuth connection, including refreshing the access token when possible. If a user revokes access from Google or Microsoft, reconnect the account from the partner portal.
- Partner users view connection errors and other connection statuses in the partner portal. They don’t use the standard Einstein Activity Capture connection-status experience in Salesforce.
- Einstein Activity Capture supports connections to Google Calendar and Microsoft 365. Microsoft Exchange isn’t supported.
- Einstein Activity Capture configuration for partner portal users only supports user-level authentication.
