Getting a Sales Agent in the New Agentforce Builder
You can't upgrade a Sales agent created in the legacy Agentforce Builder in Setup to
the new Agentforce Builder in Agentforce Studio. How this affects you depends on whether you're
setting up your Sales agent for the first time or you've already created one in the legacy
builder.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and
Developer Editions with the Agentforce for Sales or Agentforce for an
Industry add-on, or included in Agentforce 1 Sales or an Industry Edition. Requires
each user to have the Agentforce for Sales or Agentforce for an Industry add-on to
access the actions.
You can create agents only in Agentforce Builder in Agentforce Studio. Starting the week of
August 11, 2026, if you turn on Pipeline Management or Account Management, Salesforce
automatically creates your Sales agent in the new builder.
If you already created and activated a Sales agent in the legacy builder, it stays active and
exactly as it is. When you're ready to get a Sales agent from the new builder, turn Pipeline
Management or Account Management off and back on to automatically create your new Sales agent.
Then, deactivate the legacy agent and activate it. If your legacy Sales agent has no
customizations, you can use the new agent as is.
If you customized your legacy Sales agent, your new agent doesn't inherit these
modifications. Before you activate the new agent, reapply your customizations and test them in
the new builder. Because the new Agentforce Builder works differently from the legacy builder,
you might need to adjust some customizations to work the way you expect. For example, the new
Sales agent's subagents and actions are organized differently. If you added a custom action to
a subagent of your legacy agent, make sure that you add it to the corresponding subagent for
your new agent.
