Direct your sales team’s next steps by defining the actions they take on custom
signals. Every signal in the feed shows one action button, and for a custom signal, you decide
which action that button runs.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and
Agentforce 1 Sales editions with the Sales Foundation add-on.
When you configured custom signals to show on Sales Workspace, you control the single action
button that appears on each feed. Decide what sellers do when they act on a custom signal, and
set a default action so that every feed from a definition behaves the same way.
Where the Action Comes From
You can configure an action in two places. When actions exist in both places, the more
specific action always wins.
Set a default action on the custom signal definition. This ensures that every feed
generated by that definition uses the exact same action.
Write an action directly to a single feed record when it needs unique behavior. This
specific action overrides the default definition.
What You Can Use as an Action
You can connect your custom signal to one of two action types:
Platform Action: This action runs against the specific record related to the
feed.
Agent Quick Action: This action opens the Assist panel for a specified agent. It also
automatically runs an utterance that you define.
