Track Salesforce Maps Schedule Usage

Track Salesforce Maps Schedule Usage

Identify which events originated from Maps Schedule and report on adoption over time by adding a custom checkbox field on the Activity object.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To customize the Activity object: Customize Application
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager, and then select Object Manager.
  2. Open the Activity object and create a Checkbox field (for example, name it Created from Maps Schedule).
  3. Configure the checkbox to be selected automatically when Maps Schedule creates an event.
  4. In Salesforce Maps, open Routes & Schedule settings, and set the tracking field to the checkbox field that you created. Maps then selects that checkbox on each event it creates.
  5. Create a report on the Activity object that includes the checkbox field to see which events originated from Schedule and track adoption over time.
