Create a Custom Trunk
Set up your voice connection exactly the way you want it, with complete control over trunk configuration, inbound routing, and outbound termination settings.

- From Setup, use Quick Find to open Trunks.
- Click New Trunk.
- Select the trunk type as Custom.
- Under trunk details enter a name for your trunk.
- For Salesforce Media Region, select a region closest to your carrier.
- By default, the Protocol is set to Transport Layer Security (TLS) .
- For SIP ACL IP Address, enter the IP addresses or Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) ranges that your carrier uses to send SIP traffic. Separate multiple entries with commas (for example, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3/24).
- In the Inbound section, the SIP address is set to sip.salesforce.com. This is the address your carrier must route your inbound calls to. Make a note of this address.
- Optionally, if you want Salesforce to verify your carrier's identity on inbound calls, turn on Authentication and enter a username and password.

In the Outbound section, for SIP Termination, add one or more
endpoints where Salesforce routes outbound calls. Enter a host (Fully Qualified Domain Name
(FQDN) or IP address of your carrier's SIP endpoint) and a port (example, 5060 or 5061). To add

Optionally, under Custom Headers, add key-value pairs to include in outbound SIP messages.
Enter a key (example, X-Client-ID) and a value (for example, CID-99283). To add more headers,

- If your carrier requires Salesforce to authenticate for outbound calls, turn on digest authentication and enter the username and password.
- Click Submit.
