          Create a Service Resource in Salesforce Go

          Service resources are the people who perform appointments. Use the guided setup in Salesforce Go to create service resources and assign them to service territories. Creating a resource here also assigns the Service Resource for Field Service permission set group.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
          User Permissions Needed
          To create a service resource: Workforce Scheduling Manager
          1. From Setup, click Salesforce Go.
          2. Search for Scheduling.
          3. In the search results, under Initial Setup, click View Details next to Workforce Scheduling Initial Setup.
          4. Under Set Up Scheduling, find Create a Service Resource, and then click Manage.
          5. In the Add Your Service Resources dialog, click New Service Resource.
          6. Enter the required information.
            1. User: The Salesforce user to associate with this service resource. Search for an existing user.
            2. Name: A unique name for the service resource. Required.
            3. Active: Makes the resource available for scheduling. Selected by default.
            4. Resource Type: The type of resource. Defaults to Technician.
            5. Service Territory: The territory where this resource operates. Required.
            6. Required Skills: Skills that the resource must have for certain work types.
          7. Click Save to save the resource and continue creating resources, click Save & Close to save and return to the setup page, or click Cancel to discard changes.
