Set Up Interactions on an Experience Cloud Site

Set Up Interactions on an Experience Cloud Site

Configure an Experience Cloud site so constituents can schedule, view, reschedule, and cancel interactions. The same site supports registered constituents who sign in and unauthenticated guests who book through an email link.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
          User Permissions Needed
To set up an Experience Cloud site: Create and Set Up Experience Cloud Sites
To configure interaction scheduling on the site: Workforce Scheduling Manager

Configuration has three parts: create the site, add the interaction components, and grant guest user access.

Create an Experience Cloud Site for Interactions

Create a new Experience Cloud site that constituents use to schedule and manage interactions. Use an LWR template so you can drop the inbound interaction components onto the page.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, and then select All Sites.
          2. Click New.
          3. Select an LWR template that supports custom Lightning Web Components.
          4. Enter a name and URL for the site, and then click Create.
          5. In Experience Builder, configure branding, navigation, and the home page as needed for your organization.

Add the Inbound Interaction Components to the Site

Place the interaction scheduling and management components on the Experience Cloud page so constituents can book, view, reschedule, and cancel interactions.

          1. In Experience Builder, open the page where constituents schedule and manage interactions.
          2. From the Components panel, drag the interaction scheduling component onto the page.
          3. Drag the Scheduled, Cancelled, Upcoming, and Past tab components onto the page so constituents can view interactions by status and time.
          4. Click Publish.

          Enable Guest Scheduling for Interactions

Grant the guest user profile access to interaction scheduling so unauthenticated constituents can book an interaction without signing in.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, and then select All Sites.
          2. Next to your interaction site, click Workspaces, and then open Administration.
          3. Select Preferences, and then turn on guest user access.
          4. From the site's guest user profile, grant access to the service appointment and interaction objects.
          5. Assign any required permission sets and license to the guest user profile.
          6. Save your changes.

Test the guest flow from an incognito browser session to confirm that unauthenticated users can complete the scheduling flow and receive a confirmation email with a tokenized link.
