            Migration Prerequisites

            Follow these steps to add a custom field on the Account object.

            Required Editions

            1. From Setup, go to the Object Manager tab.
            2. From the list of objects, select Account.
            3. From the left pane, select Fields & Relationships.
            4. Click New.
            5. Select Text as the data type, then click Next.
            6. Enter EmployeeNumber as Field Label and Field Name.
            7. Select the External ID checkbox, then click Next.
            8. Click Next and save your changes.
