            AI Agent for Onboarding Management

            Onboarding Assistance is a conversational specialized AI agent that helps managers initiate employee onboarding processes. Use this agent to create onboarding requests for new hires and capture preliminary data to begin the onboarding workflow. This agent handles the primary intake for new employees.

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.

            Service Catalog Items

            This specialized agent automatically uses these SCI templates to fulfill your request. You can configure additional service catalog item templates to support similar applications and request types.

            Creating an onboarding request for a new hire

            Scenario: Hiring manager Paul needs to initiate onboarding for a new software engineer starting next month.

            • Paul: I need to start onboarding for our new hire, Jennifer Lee. She starts May 1st as a Senior Software Engineer.
            • AI Agent: I can create that onboarding request. To confirm before I proceed, what department will Jennifer be in, and does she need any specialized equipment or software?
            • Paul: She'll be in Platform Engineering, and she'll need a MacBook Pro and IntelliJ Ultimate license.
            • AI Agent: The onboarding request has been created for Jennifer Lee starting May 1, 2026, as a Senior Software Engineer in Platform Engineering. A MacBook Pro and IntelliJ Ultimate license have been noted for provisioning.
