          Link Assets to Fulfillment Orders

          Link Assets to Fulfillment Orders

Link specific serialized devices to a fulfillment order to manage active inventory counts. This process transitions assets from a general reservation to a designated hardware allocation, locking the exact serial numbers for an employee request.

To manage fulfillment orders: Hardware Asset Management Inventory Manager
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select IT Hardware Asset Management.
          2. Select Fulfillment Orders.
          3. Select an active Fulfillment Order.
          4. On the Related tab, go to the Fulfillment Order Line Items related list and select a draft line item.
          5. In the Fulfillment Order Line Items section, review the requested products.
          6. For a serialized product line item, click Add Asset.
          7. Locate the device that you want to assign.
            • Locate a specific device by searching for its serial number or asset tag.
            • Review the asset status to make sure that it’s available.
          8. Select the asset and click Link Asset.

The system automatically updates the asset's status to Reserved. This status indicates that the asset is no longer available for other requests but remains physically located at the stockroom. The system also generates a record in the Asset Activity log to provide a reliable audit trail of the reservation.
