            Ship Hardware to Employees

            Ship hardware to employees by using Fulfillment Orders in IT Hardware Asset Management. Add logistics details and trigger automated asset status updates to maintain a strict chain of custody from the stockroom to the employee.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.
            User Permissions Needed
            To manage fulfillment orders: Hardware Asset Management - Inventory Manager
            • Make sure that the sourcing flow has generated a Fulfillment Order (FO).
            • Make sure you've linked specific serialized Assets to the Fulfillment Order Line Items (FOLI).
            • Make sure you've completed any dependent configuration Work Orders.
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select IT Hardware Asset Management.
            2. Select Fulfillment Orders.
            3. Select an active fulfillment order.
            4. In the Fulfillment Orders related list, select the fulfillment order you're shipping.
            5. Change Status to Update Shipment.
              • This action pulls destination details from the original Service Request.
              • The Shipment record updates automatically.
            6. In the Shipment record, enter logistics information, such as Shipping Provider, Tracking Number, and Tracking URL.
            7. Select Save.
            8. Select Mark Fulfillment Sent.
              • Asset status automatically transitions from Reserved to In Transit.
              • Shipment record updates to Shipped.
              • The employee receives a notification with pickup or tracking instructions.

            After the employee receives the hardware, mark the Fulfillment Order as Received to transition the asset status to In Use or Assigned.
