Operating Modes

Select Guided Fulfillment to review agent recommendations before execution. Access the agent in the Agentforce panel within Salesforce, Slack, or Microsoft Teams to confirm shipments and transfers manually.

Sourcing Logic

The agent uses a specific priority sequence to find hardware:

1. Local Inventory: Check the stockroom nearest to the requester.
2. Internal Transfer: Scan other locations and create a product transfer if local stock is unavailable.
3. External Procurement: Refer the request to the purchasing team by creating a product request and updating the case status.

Note The agent evaluates logistical rules, such as matching source and destination countries, before proximity calculations.

Error and Exception Handling

If a systemic issue occurs, an unavailable result appears in the Proactive Assistance user interface. Systemic issues include reservation errors or connection failures.

Collaboration

Proactive Sourcing Assistance provides in-context inventory recommendations directly within the Service Request workflow. This feature recommends the most appropriate stockroom or sourcing path for each requested product. Recommendations match available inventory, location, and delivery requirements.

Embedding these recommendations where fulfillment work happens allows IT fulfillers to make sourcing decisions faster and more consistently. Fulfillers no longer need to review inventory manually across multiple locations. This in-context approach reduces sourcing delays and operational overhead.
