            View an Asset's Lifecycle History

            Track the complete chronological journey of an IT asset. Maintain an accurate audit trail and preserve a clean chain of custody. The asset timeline records significant events directly on the asset record. These events include fulfillments, returns, and stockroom transfers.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.
            • Hardware Asset Management and the Asset Activity features must be turned on by your admin.
            • Your user profile contains read permissions for both Asset and Asset Activity records.
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select IT Hardware Asset Management.
            2. Select the Assets tab.
            3. Select the name of the asset that you want to review.
            4. Click the Related tab.
            5. In the Asset Activities related list, select an activity to view its history.
            6. On the activity detail page, locate the Asset Activity Field Changes related list to see granular field updates.
            7. Click any field change record to review old values, new values, modifiers, activity timestamps, and the specific change source.
            8. To view high-level transactional details from a timeline card, click Related Record.
              This action navigates directly to the linked order record.
            9. Click View All on the Asset Activities related list to show a comprehensive, sortable history of every logged lifecycle event.
