            Import Configuration Item Relationships

            Import configuration item (CI) relationships in bulk by using predefined CSV templates. Use relationship imports to establish dependencies and service mappings between related CIs more efficiently in CMDB.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service that have CMDB and Service Graph enabled.
            User Permissions Needed
            To import configuration item relationships: IT Service Configuration Item Type Manager
            To view configuration item types: IT Service Configuration Item Reader

            Relationship imports associate source and target configuration items by using predefined relationship types. Import configuration items before importing relationships into CMDB. For more information, see Import Configuration Items to CMDB. Download the relationship templates before preparing relationship import data.

            1. From App Launcher, find and select CMDB and Service Graph.
            2. In the navigation panel, select CI Imports and Exports under CMDB in Administration.
            3. On the Import History tab, click Download Import Template.
            4. From Template Object, select Configuration Item Relationship and the following template ty
            5. Select the relationship template that you want to download as per the following table:
            6. Click Download to download the CSVs of these template types:
              CI Relationships Defines source and target configuration items and the relationship types used during relationship import.
              Relationship Types Lists the predefined relationship types available for relationship import.
            7. Populate the downloaded CSV templates with relationship data.
              You can use the Relationship Types template as a reference for supported relationship types.
            8. On the Import History tab, click Import CI Relationships.
            9. Upload the completed relationship CSV file and wait for the upload to complete.
            10. Click Close.
              You can view the relationship import status on the Import History tab.
