          Manage Configuration Item Components

          Add or remove supported component records from a configuration item (CI) to maintain accurate infrastructure and software associations.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service that have CMDB and Service Graph enabled.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create or delete components: IT Service Configuration Item Manager
          Important
          Important You can create or delete only certain component types from the Components tab of a CI record. Supported component types include network adapter, software instance, installed software, network storage disk, and peripheral device.
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select CMDB and Service Graph.
          2. In the navigation panel, select Configuration Items, and then select All Configuration Items.
          3. Click the required CI record and then select the Components tab.
          4. Select the required component type.
          5. To add a component, click New Component.
          6. Enter the required component details.
          7. Save your changes.
          8. To delete a component, click Delete Component.
