Set Up Policy Management with Microsoft 365 for IT Compliance
Integrate Salesforce with Microsoft 365 to draft and sync policies between the two
systems while maintaining centralized governance. Use a guided setup to configure the connection
and enable AI-assisted authoring in Microsoft Word. The Microsoft 365 integration allows users to
author policies in a familiar environment while ensuring Salesforce remains the system of
record.
Required Editions

User Permissions Needed
To enable Policy Management Microsoft 365 features
View Setup
AND
Customize Application
To assign required permission sets to users
Assign Permission Sets
From the gear icon, select Salesforce Go, and then search for
Accelerate Trust with Unified Risk and Compliance on the
Feature page.
Find and select Policy Management with Microsoft 365.
Turn on Policy Management with Microsoft 365.
This step turns on the Microsoft 365 Policy Connector and assigns the Compliance
Admin permission set to the administrator.
To make sure authorized users can create and edit policies using Microsoft 365, click
Manage User Access and assign the Compliance Admin permission
set.
To configure authentication, services, document storage, and deploy the Salesforce
Compliance Policy Version Connector, click Go to Setup and finish the
steps in the guided steps.
To enable AI-powered authoring for policy clauses in Microsoft 365, turn on AI Policy
Authoring with Microsoft 365.
AI Policy Authoring with Microsoft 365 requires the AI IT Compliance add-on.
Click Manage next to Manage User Access to assign the IT
Compliance AI Admin permission set to users.
Click Go to Setup next to Set Up Einstein to Draft
Policy Clauses with AI, and follow the steps to enable Einstein generative AI.
