Map Regulation Clause Versions to a Regulation Version
Map regulation clause versions to a regulation version to define which clauses are in effect
for that version of the regulation. You can also unmap a clause version from a regulation
version when it's no longer relevant.
Publish a regulation version along with its mapped regulation clause versions to make the
requirements available to control managers and policy managers. On the effective date, activate
the regulation version to enforce it across your organization. This also activates the
regulation clause versions mapped to the regulation version.
When a regulatory authority publishes an amendment, clone the existing regulation version to
create a new version that retains the existing clause mappings. Add new clauses, remove obsolete
clauses, or revise existing ones, and then retire the previous active version when the new
version takes effect.
Regulation versions and regulation clause versions move through Draft, Published, Active, and
Retired statuses. To enforce valid status transitions and required associations, turn on the
Regulation and Policy Status Transition and Validation Criteria setting.
