How Permissions Work?
- Permission sets are collections of settings and permissions that grant users access to various tools and functions. They are assigned to individual users to extend their access beyond their profile settings.
- Permission set groups bundle multiple permission sets together based on user job functions or roles. Users assigned to a permission set group receive the combined permissions of all the permission sets in the group. Updates made to a permission set automatically propagate to all permission set groups that include it, simplifying management.
- Users are assigned permission sets or permission set groups to grant them the necessary access for their roles. This approach ensures that users have the right level of access without over-permissioning.
