Add a Language Selector to the Employee Services Portal
Your employees can view the Employee Services portal in the language they prefer. Add the
Language Selector component so they can switch the portal's display language themselves. The
interface language changes, but the data in your records stays in its original language.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited
Editions with Agentforce IT Service.
User Permissions Needed
To customize an Experience Builder site:
Create and Setup Experiences
Note The Language Selector component is available only on Employee Services portal sites that use
the Agentforce Employee Center template.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Sites, and then select
All Sites under Digital Experiences.
Next to your Employee Services portal site, click Builder to open the
site in Experience Builder.
In the Settings panel, select Languages, and then add and activate each
language you want to offer.
The Agentforce Employee Center template is an enhanced Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) site, so
you can add only languages that are already enabled in your Salesforce org, up to 40. For each
language, select Activate and show in the language selector. For the
steps, see Add a Language to Your LWR Site.
Open the page where you want employees to switch languages, such as the site header or the
Home page.
Click the Components icon to open the Components panel.
Drag the Language Selector component from the Components panel onto
the page.
Click Publish to make the Language Selector available to
employees.
Employees can now choose their language from the Language Selector on the portal. Their
selection changes only what the portal displays, such as labels, buttons, and navigation. This
selection doesn't change the language of the data stored in your records.
