Checklist for Agentforce Employee Setup in IT Services

Set up the Agentforce Employee portal for your employees by using Digital Experiences in Salesforce. Create employee users who need access to the portal and configure the right level of access to relevant IT service records for your employees.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce IT Service.

Follow these high-level steps to configure the Agentforce Employee portal for your employees.

          1. Review your assigned licenses on the Company Information page in Setup.
Make sure you have the Customer Community Plus User License and plan your implementation accordingly.
          2. Enable Digital Experiences and select a domain name.
            Note
Note Before you save the settings for Digital Experiences, confirm that Allow standard external profiles for self-registration, user creation, and login is enabled.
          3. Enable Person accounts.
Person accounts store information about individual people by combining certain account and contact fields into one record.
          4. Set up roles in your Salesforce org so that you can share records with a group of users. Also, most Experience Cloud licenses require roles in your org.
          5. To associate a manager with an employee, turn on the Reports To field on the Person Account object.
          6. Clone the Customer Community Plus User profile to create a custom profile for your employees.
          7. Create employee users who need access to the Agentforce Employee portal.
          8. Edit the Standard Object Permissions section of the user profile by providing the required levels of read, edit, create, and delete access on objects.
          9. Configure the user interface and field permissions for the Agentforce Employee portal to control which buttons and fields portal users can see and edit.
          10. Create and customize the IT self-service portal by using the Agentic Center template for Experience Cloud sites.
          11. To make sure knowledge articles are available to your employees on the Agentforce Employee portal, enable Salesforce Knowledge.
          12. Use Salesforce's standard sharing for Lightning Knowledge and set up sharing rules to make specific articles available on your Agentforce Employee portal, ensuring that the right information reaches the right audience while maintaining security.
          13. Set up sharing rules for the Unified Catalog on your portal to make sure that employees can see and access only the services they are entitled to.
